We invite you to join Surface Measurement Systems and the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz for this special online event, featuring three in-depth presentations exploring the latest research, case studies, and findings in pharmaceuticals. This workshop will offer unparalleled insight into the use of sorption science techniques in pharmaceutical formula development. Attendees will also be able to engage directly with our speakers in a live Q&A discussion.

Agenda:

DVS analysis of different citric acid excipients for pharmaceutical formulation of effervescent tablets

with Moritz RoschJohannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz; Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie

  • DVS as a tool to improve pharmaceutical formulation development
  • Optimization of citric acid excipients for manufacturing and storage stability
  • Stability screening of effervescent hydrogen generating tablet formulations

Evaluation of Moisture Protection in Solid Dosage Forms

with Johannes Blechar, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz

  • Calculation of Water Diffusivity in Coating Materials
  • DVS Analysis of Coated and Uncoated Tablets
  • Determination of Water Vapor Permeability of Secondary Packaging Materials

The Effect of Temperature and Moisture on Sorption properties of Microcrystalline Cellulose

with Meishan Guo, Surface Measurement Systems

Sorption techniques allow a fast and accurate determination of solid-vapour interactions over a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions. The aim of this study is to investigate the moisture sorption kinetics of Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) at different temperatures and humidities.
