Syed is the Finance Officer and Purchasing Manager for Surface Measurement Systems, UK and Financial Controller for SMS India. He joined the finance team at SMS in 2003. He works with the Finance Director and senior management.

Syed has spent the majority of his early career in manufacturing industry. He worked for five years at TriStar in Saudi Arabia where he prepared budgets and analyses, cash management, general ledger, inventory, banking and reconciliation, and sales commission tracking and providing strategic analyses for senior management to determine project and company profitability, and two years at John Menzies where he managed, cash management, general ledger, banking and reconciliation.

Syed has over twenty years of experience in account management. As a finance manager, he works closely with sales and purchasing team. He provides daily hands-on service to team meet their needs. There are a number of things he enjoy while working here, such as problem solving, providing timely and relevant analyses, and working as a team to grow the company.
