Seminar on Advanced Sorption Technologies and Their Applications
Surface Measurement Systems in cooperation with EMPA (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology) and IBM announces seminar on “Advanced Sorption Technologies and Their Applications” which is held on 18 – 19 May, 2015 in Zurich, Switzerland.
The aim of the seminar is to bring together a wide range of international experts on vapor/gas sorption phenomena, and make the link from fundamental science to a wide range of applications including heat adsorption pumps, catalysis, drying of pharmaceutical powders and CO2 capture.
The talks will be given by speakers highly regarded in this field (from Canada, USA, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Italy France and the UK) and will cover topics such as chemical tunability of advanced materials, role of adsorbent for adsorptive heating/cooling cycles, stability of materials, hydrophilicity, microporosity, sorption phenomena and numerical modelling of porous materials. There are also speakers from industry presenting adsorption chiller technology, i.e. innovative cooling and CO2 capture technology.
